The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has announced a recruitment drive for retired Short Service Commission Officers (SSCOs) from the Indian Armed Forces. Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the Consultant (SSCO) position must meet the following criteria:

  • Nationality: Retired Short Service Commission Officers of Indian Armed Forces (Indian Army / Indian Navy / Indian Air Force / Indian Coast Guard).
  • Age Limit: The applicant should not be more than 50 years of age as on the last date for submission of application (01.10.2026). The period between the date of retirement from the Armed Forces and the last date for submission of application should not exceed six (06) years.

Educational and Professional Qualifications

Candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • Educational Qualification: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • Professional Qualification: Basic ATC Course/ATM and AL (Basic) and GCA/ATSS Course.

Required Experience

Candidates must have a minimum of 05 years of cumulative experience, with at least one year of ATC duties at a joint user Defence Airfield.

Salary and Remuneration

The monthly remuneration will be a fixed amount, calculated as per DoPT OM F. No. 3-25/2020-E.IIIA dated 09/12/2020. This amount is determined by deducting the basic pension from the pay drawn at the time of retirement. The remuneration will remain unchanged throughout the contract period, with no annual increments or percentage increases.

Allowances:

  • HRA is not admissible.
  • A fixed Transport Allowance will be provided, not exceeding the rate applicable to the appointee at the time of retirement.
  • Retired employees engaged as consultants may be allowed TA/DA on official tour as per their entitlement at the time of retirement.
  • TDS will be deducted at source.

Selection Process

Candidates will be shortlisted based on their applications. Only shortlisted applicants will be called for application verification and an interview. The final selection will be based on the merit ranking obtained in the interview.
