All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Guwahati has announced recruitment for two positions: Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical) and Project Technical Support-III. These roles are on a contractual basis for a project funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Essential Qualification:

• (A) Post Graduate (PG) Degree in Public Health/Epidemiology/Biostatistics/Psychology/Social Work/Community Development/Community Health Nursing from a UGC/AICTE recognized university or institution; AND
• (B) At least Three years of Research work experience in projects funded by national agencies such as ICMR/DHR/ANRF/DBT;

OR

• (C) Completed PhD in the above-mentioned fields from a UGC/AICTE recognized university or institution/Institutes of National Importance.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

• At least one year experience in community health/mental healthcare settings.
• MPhil Degree holders need to provide a minimum of six months of research project work experience.
• At least two original research publications in PubMed or Scopus indexed journals, as first or corresponding author.
• At least one systematic review/systematic review with meta-analysis published or accepted.
• At least one qualitative research publication in a PubMed/Scopus indexed journal with a 2-year impact factor greater than 1.0.
• Proficiency in statistical data analysis software (SPSS/STATA/R etc.).
• Proficiency in referencing and citation software.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and related digital tools.
• Fluency in English and Assamese (spoken and written).

Minimum Essential Qualification:

• (A) Three Years Graduate in Public Health/Epidemiology/Social work/Nursing/Community or Rural Development/Psychology; AND
• (B) Three Years' Experience;

OR

• (C) Post Graduate Degree in Public Health/Epidemiology/Social work/Nursing/Community or Rural Development/Psychology.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

• Post Graduate Degrees with at least six months of research project experience.
• At least one year experience in community health/mental healthcare settings.
• Hands-on experience with statistical and/or qualitative data analysis.
• Well-versed in MS Office applications and related digital tools.
• Hands-on proficiency with mobile data collection apps.
• Experience in preparing and contributing to research publications in indexed and peer-reviewed journals.
• Fluency in English and Assamese (spoken and written).

Age Limit

Age relaxation is admissible as per Govt of India guidelines. The age is calculated as on the last day of application.

Salary / Pay Scale

The appointment is on a temporary basis for one year. Based on performance, the appointment could be extended till the end of the project.

Selection Process

The selection process involves an interview. Candidates are shortlisted based on their applications. The interview will be conducted offline at AIIMS Guwahati. Candidates are required to bring a copy of their application form and supporting documents, along with original documents, for verification during the interview.

• All experience will be considered only after completing the specified Minimum Essential/Desirable Educational Qualification. Internships/Observerships during training will not be counted.
