Note: The number of vacancies is based on requisitions from the departments. The vacancies for Finance & Accounts Officer/ Treasury Officer do not include 2 posts covered under a writ petition.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following mandatory eligibility criteria:
- Citizenship: Must be a citizen of India.
- Permanent Residence: Must be a permanent resident of Arunachal Pradesh holding a valid Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC).
- Indigenous Status: Must be an original inhabitant of Arunachal Pradesh and hold an Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST) Certificate.
Educational Qualification
The educational qualifications for each post are as follows:
- Finance & Accounts Officer/ Treasury Officer (Group-A): Bachelor Degree in Commerce/Business Administration/Economics OR Bachelor Degree in any discipline with Statistics or Mathematics as one of the Subjects. If Bachelor Degree is in any discipline, Statistics or Mathematics must have been studied as a compulsory subject in all semesters/years.
- Sub Treasury Officer (Group-B): Bachelor Degree in Commerce/Bachelor in Business Administration OR Bachelor Degree in any discipline with Economics and Statistics as one of the subjects. If Bachelor Degree is in any discipline, Economics and Statistics must have been studied as a compulsory subject in all semesters/years.
- Assistant Director (Prosecution) (Group-A): Bachelor of Law from a recognized University with a minimum of 7 years of active practice as an advocate in criminal courts OR experience as a Magistrate of the First Class.
- Assistant Public Prosecutor (Group-B): Bachelor of Law from a recognized University with a minimum of 7 years of experience in criminal law practice.
Candidates appearing for their final semester examination for Finance & Accounts Officer/ Treasury Officer and Sub-Treasury Officer posts can also apply. However, they must submit proof of passing the qualifying examination on or before the interview date.
For Assistant Director (Prosecution) and Assistant Public Prosecutor posts, applicants must submit their 7-year experience certificate or Appointment Order of Magistrate of First Class while filling the online application form.
Age Limit
Candidates should be between 21 and 35 years of age as of 12 October 2026.
- Upper age limit is relaxed by up to 5 years for Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST) candidates.
- Government Employees of Arunachal Pradesh with 3 years of continuous regular service in the same or allied cadre can also get age relaxation.
Application Fee
Candidates are required to pay an application fee of ₹200/- (Rupees two hundred only) through online mode.
PwD candidates are exempted from paying the application fee as per the Arunachal Pradesh Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2018.
Salary / Pay Scale
The pay scales for the posts are as follows:
- Group-A Posts (Finance & Accounts Officer/ Treasury Officer, Assistant Director (Prosecution)): Level 10 (Rs 56,100 - Rs 1,77,500 PM) plus Special Pay of Rs.1000 PM for Assistant Director (Prosecution).
- Group-B Posts (Sub Treasury Officer, Assistant Public Prosecutor): Level 7 (Rs 44,900 - Rs 1,42,400 PM) for Sub Treasury Officer and Level-8 (Rs 47,600 - Rs 1,51,100 PM) for Assistant Public Prosecutor.
Selection Process
The selection process may involve a Recruitment Test (Objective Type) and/or a Written Examination, followed by a Viva-Voce/Interview.
- If the number of applicants is more than the required ratio, a Recruitment Test will be conducted.
- Candidates need to score minimum qualifying marks in the written examination to be eligible for the viva-voce/ interview. For general candidates, this is 33% aggregate and at least 20% in each paper. For PwBD candidates, it is 20% aggregate and at least 10% in each paper.
- The number of candidates invited for the interview will be approximately 3 times the number of advertised vacancies.
- The final selection will be based on the performance in the written examination and viva-voce/ interview.

- Register for One Time Registration (OTR) on the APPSC website if you haven't already.
- Log in using your user ID and password to fill out the online application form.
- Ensure you fill in all details accurately.
- Submit only a single application. If multiple applications are submitted, only the one with the highest Registration ID (RID) will be considered.
- The online application submission link will be active from 21 September 2026 (17:00 hours) to 12 October 2026 (17:00 hours).
