Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the Anganwadi Worker posts:

• Domicile: Must be a domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
• Residence: Must be a resident of the electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre is located. Proof of residence from the voter list for the ward will be considered. If the candidate's name appears with parents, an unmarried certificate from the concerned Tehsildar is required. In case of disputes, a residence proof certifying the ward from the concerned SDM/ACR will be accepted.

If no 10+2 pass candidate is available in the ward, a 10+2 pass candidate from an adjoining ward may be considered with prior approval from the Mission Director, Mission POSHAN. If a suitable candidate is still not available, one from the nearest ward within the Panchayat can be considered, also subject to approval.

Eligible candidates must be women in the age group of 18 to 37 years as on 01 January 2026.
