Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the specified age and educational qualifications for the posts they are applying for. It is the candidate's responsibility to assess their eligibility before appearing for the interview.

The maximum age limit for all the mentioned posts is 35 years.

The required qualifications are:

• Laboratory Assistant (ECE): Diploma in Electronics & Communication with 3 years of experience in laboratories, industry, or institute, OR BE/B.Tech in ECE. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in handling laboratories.
• Laboratory Assistant (ECE Avionics / Mechanics): Diploma in Electronics & Communication with 3 years of experience in laboratories, industry, or institute, OR BE/B.Tech in ECE or ECE Avionics or Mechanical. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in handling laboratories.
• Office Assistant (IIC):
  • A bachelor's degree from a recognized institute/university.
  • Five years of working experience in an educational institution, with at least two years of experience in an innovation and incubation cell in a University/Central Govt./PSU/Autonomous body.
  • Proficiency in computer operations.

Application Fee

Eligible candidates will need to deposit Rs. 500/- as an application processing fee in the form of a Demand Draft (DD) in favour of the Registrar, Central University of Jammu, on the day of the walk-in interview. SC/ST/PwBD candidates are exempted from this fee.

Salary / Pay Scale

The consolidated remuneration for the selected candidates will be as follows:

• Laboratory Assistant: Rs. 25,000/- per month
• Office Assistant: Rs. 40,000/- per month

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected based on their performance in a walk-in interview. The university reserves the right to fill or not fill the advertised posts.

Important Instructions

• The engagement is purely on a contract basis for one year. There will be no claim for absorption, extension, or permanent employment.
• Selected candidates will be required to submit an affidavit duly attested by a First Class Magistrate/Notary at the time of joining.
• The contract may be extended based on satisfactory performance and other factors determined by the University.
• Engaged persons will be entitled to only 04 casual leaves in six months.
• Candidates with degrees from foreign universities must enclose an "Equivalence Certificate" from the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.
• Suppression of factual information or submission of fake documents will lead to cancellation of candidature.
• The decision of the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor will be final regarding any ambiguity in eligibility.
• Engagement offers will be valid for 10 days from the date of issue. Non-reporting within this period will automatically cancel the engagement.
