Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must be Indian citizens. The essential qualifications and age limit are detailed below.
Educational QualificationCandidates should possess one of the following qualifications:
- B.E/B.Tech in Ceramic / Metallurgy / Materials Science & Engineering / Aerospace / Mechanical / Production or equivalent.
- M.Sc. in Physics / Chemistry / Materials Science from a recognised University or equivalent.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Fundamental knowledge in Synthesis & Characterization of precursor.
- Knowledge in Design & Additive manufacturing.
- Experience in Mechanical Testing.
- Familiarity with Ceramic processing.
The maximum age limit for candidates is 35 years as on the date of the interview.
Age relaxation is applicable as follows:
- Up to 5 years for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped and Female candidates.
- Up to 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy layer) candidates.
Salary / Stipend
The stipend will be paid based on the selection process:
- Rs. 31,000/- + HRA per month: For candidates selected through National Eligibility Tests (CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship, ICAR NET, ICMR NET, GATE) or a selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and Institutions.
- Rs. 25,000/- + HRA per month: For candidates who do not fall under the above category.
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected based on a walk-in interview. The interview will be held on 07/10/2026.
Candidates are required to report at least one hour before the scheduled interview time for document verification. Latecomers will not be allowed entry.
How to Apply
Interested candidates are requested to send a soft copy of their duly filled application form in the prescribed format. The application form should be typed (not handwritten) and enclosed with soft copies of self-attested supporting documents, certificates, and reprints.
Applications must be sent via email to the specified email ID. The last date for receiving applications via email is 05/10/2026. No applications will be accepted after this date.

Documents Required

- Candidates currently engaged in any project must furnish a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their existing Project Leader.
- Candidates with results awaited are not eligible.
- Incomplete applications or applications without the prescribed format and supporting documents will be rejected.
- CSIR-CGCRI reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of positions or not to fill up the positions.
- Interim inquiries will not be entertained.
