Eligibility Criteria
Age LimitThe upper age limit for all posts is 65 years as of October 1, 2026. This means applicants should have been born on or after October 2, 1961.
Educational Qualification and ExperiencePlease refer to the table above for specific educational qualifications and experience required for each post. The minimum qualification must be from a University/Institute recognized by AICTE or an appropriate statutory authority. Experience acquired after the date of passing the stipulated qualification will only be considered. Post-qualification experience will be reckoned as of October 1, 2026.
Application Fee
An application fee of ₹ 400/- (non-refundable, plus bank charges extra) is required for all applicants. This fee can be paid online using Debit Card, Credit Card, or Internet Banking.
Applicants belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are exempted from paying the application fee.
Salary
The monthly consolidated pay for the Faculty (Electro Technical Officer) post is ₹ 85,000 in the first year, with an annual increase applicable in subsequent years. For the posts of Faculty (Marine Chief Engineer) and Faculty (Master Mariner - Foreign Going), the monthly consolidated pay is negotiable.
Selection Process
The selection process will involve a Personal Interview, which will be held at CSL, Kochi. Candidates will be shortlisted based on the eligibility requirements verified through the certificates uploaded during the online application. Only shortlisted candidates will be allowed to attend the Personal Interview. The final rank list will be prepared based on the marks secured in the Personal Interview.
CSL may conduct certificate verification before the interview. Candidates must produce original certificates as proof of age, educational qualification, and experience during this process.
