Eligibility Criteria
Educational QualificationTo be eligible for the Nurse post, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- A three-year Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery.
- Valid registration as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (RN & RM) with the Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council (KNMC).
Candidates need at least one year of experience as a Nurse in one of the following facilities:
- Hospital
- Nursing Home
- Primary Health Centre
- First Aid Centre
- Occupational Health Centre (OHC)
- Industrial Healthcare Facility
- Similar Healthcare Establishment
Training with remuneration will be considered as experience.
Age LimitThe upper age limit for the post is 40 years as on 03 October 2026. This means applicants should be born on or after 04 October 1986.
Age relaxation will be provided for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and Ex-servicemen as per Government of India guidelines. However, the age limit will not exceed 50 years even after applying relaxations.
Application Fee
An application fee of ₹ 300/- (Non-refundable, plus bank charges extra) is required for all candidates except those belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD).
The fee can be paid online using Debit Card, Credit Card, or Internet Banking.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD categories are exempted from paying the application fee.
Salary / Pay Scale
The remuneration for the Nurse post is on a consolidated pay basis, which increases over the contract period:

Selection Process
The selection process involves two stages:
- Objective Type Test: This test will have 30 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and will be conducted for 35 minutes. There are 10 marks for General knowledge and 20 marks for Discipline related topics. There is no negative marking.
- Practical Test: This test will be for 70 marks.
Candidates must secure a minimum pass mark of 50% in each test (Objective Type Test and Practical Test) for unreserved posts. For PwBD candidates, the minimum pass mark is 40% in each test.
CSL may relax the minimum pass marks if there are insufficient qualified candidates.
Shortlisting may be done based on eligibility criteria before allowing candidates to attend the selection process.
Final selection will be based on the total marks secured in both tests, subject to verification of original certificates.
