Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the minimum eligibility criteria as per UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for appointment of Teachers, 2018.
Essential Qualification for Agriculture:Candidates must fulfill either condition (A) or (B):
Option A:- B.Sc. Agriculture: Degree from a recognized Institute/University with at least 55% marks.
- Master's Degree: In a relevant Agriculture subject with at least 55% marks from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a recognized foreign university.
- NET Qualification: Qualified in National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by CSIR, ICAR, or UGC.
Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 or 2022, and their amendments, are exempted from NET. This exemption is subject to fulfilling specific conditions for candidates registered for Ph.D. prior to July 11, 2009, including regular award of degree, evaluation by two external examiners, open viva voce, publication of research papers, and presentation of papers in conferences.
