Eligibility Criteria

Applications are invited from eligible officers working under the Central Government, State Governments, Union Territories, Universities, Recognized Research Institutions, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), Semi-Government, Autonomous, or Statutory Organizations.

• (A) Holding a post on regular basis:
  • (I) Holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre/department.
  • OR
  • (II) With five years of service in the grade rendered after appointment on a regular basis in Level-11 of the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre/department.
  • OR
  • (III) A member of the State Judicial Service with ten years of regular service.
• (B) Educational Qualification and Experience:
  • Option 1:
    • Bachelor's degree from a recognized university/institute.
    • Three years Bachelor's degree in Law from a recognized university/institute.
    • Seven years of experience as a legal practitioner or seven years of experience in legal work.
  • Option 2:
    • Five years integrated degree in Law from a recognized university/institute.
    • Eight years of experience as a legal practitioner or eight years of experience in legal work.

Note: Departmental officers in the feeder category who are in the direct line of promotion will not be eligible for consideration for appointment on deputation.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation (ISTC) is not exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of the receipt of applications.

Salary / Pay Scale

The selected candidate will be appointed in Pay Level-12 in the pay matrix. The specific pay scale is Rs. 78,800 - 2,09,200 per month (as per the information derived from Pay Level-12). The exact salary will be as per government rules and the candidate's parent department pay scale.
