Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following educational qualifications to be eligible for the Music Teacher post:

• A Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Degree with Music as one of the subjects from a recognized university.
• OR Higher Secondary (12th pass) with one of the following qualifications:
  • Sangeet Visharad Examination of the Gandharava Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Bombay.
  • Sangeet Vid examination of the Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwa Vidyalaya Khairabad (M.P.).
  • The Sangeet Prabhakar Examination of the Prayag Sangeet Samiti (Academy of Music), Allahabad.
  • Sangeet Visharad Examination of Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapeeth, Lucknow.
  • Final examination of the Madhya Sangeet Mahavidyalaya Lashkar, Gwalior.
  • Highest examination of Baroda State School of Music.
  • The final examination of Shankar Gandharava Vidyalaya, Gwalior.
  • Sangeet Ratan diploma awarded by the Director, Department of Education, M.P.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for candidates is 32 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules:

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
• PwD: 10 years
• PwD+SC/ST: 15 years
• PwD+OBC: 13 years
• Ex-Servicemen: Period of Military service plus 3 years
• Departmental Candidates: Up to 5 years
