The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has announced recruitment for Young Professionals on a contract basis in its Guwahati office. This is an opportunity to work on the implementation of schemes under the Foreign Trade Policy.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the specified educational qualifications and age limit to be eligible for the Young Professional position. The candidate must possess the required qualifications on the date of the advertisement.
Educational QualificationThe essential qualifications for the Young Professional post are as follows:
- Economics: Master's Degree in Economics (preferably with International Trade).
- Legal: LLM/LLB and PG Diploma in any legal subject.
- General Management: MBA or equivalent from an institution having NIRF ranking up to 100 in Management category as per the latest NIRF ranking, or Masters in Public Policy, or International Trade.
- Technical: B.Tech/B.E. in any discipline, or MCA, or Masters in Data Science or Data Analytics or Computational Mathematics.
Desirable Qualification: For candidates applying under the General Management discipline, experience in multimedia content creation, graphic design, and proficiency in relevant multimedia tools/software will be desirable.
Age LimitCandidates should be below 35 years of age as on 01 July 2026.
ExperienceA minimum of one year of post-qualification experience in a relevant field is required, along with proficiency in computer skills.
Salary / Pay Scale
Selected candidates will receive a consolidated fee of Rs. 56,000/- per month. This amount is subject to deduction of Professional Tax/TDS as applicable. No other allowances or facilities will be provided.
Selection Process
Selection of candidates will be based on an interview. Shortlisted candidates will be informed via email to appear for the interview. Requests for changing the interview date or time will not be entertained.

Important Instructions
- The engagement is purely on a temporary basis.
- The engagement is subject to verification of documents related to educational qualification and experience. If any information or documents are found false or wrong at any stage, the engagement will be terminated immediately.
- Candidates may be required to submit a Statement of Good Health from a recognized physician before starting work.
- Working hours are normally from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM on working days, but candidates may be required to work late or on weekends/holidays in case of exigencies.
- Young Professionals will be governed by the Official Secrets Act, 1923.
