Candidates who have completed 3 years of tenure as a Senior Resident in a Government Institution are not eligible to apply. Senior Residents already working in any Government Institution can apply after obtaining a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective institute.

Age Limit

The upper age limit for appointment as a Senior Resident in broad specialties is 45 years. For the subjects of Anatomy, Biochemistry, and Physiology, the upper age limit is 50 years. Age relaxation will be applicable as per Central Government rules in force.

Application Fee

The application fee is to be paid through a Demand Draft favouring 'ESI Fund Account No.1', drawn on any scheduled bank payable at Kolkata. The Demand Draft must be submitted along with the application form at the time of document verification cum walk-in interview. Fee once paid will not be refunded.

Salary / Pay Scale

Senior Residents engaged under the Residency Scheme (Clinical and Non-clinical) will receive a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 1,50,294/- per month. In addition, they will be entitled to transport allowance and Dearness Allowance (DA) on transport allowance as per relevant rules. For non-medical candidates, Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) will be deducted from the consolidated remuneration. The consolidated remuneration is subject to revision as per Government of India orders.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates for the Senior Resident positions will be based on a walk-in interview. In cases where the number of candidates exceeds the ratio of 1:10 per post, the competent authority may conduct a screening test to shortlist candidates for the interview.
