Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the specific educational qualifications and experience requirements for the posts they are applying for. The reservation policy is applicable only to permanent residents of Uttarakhand.
Educational Qualification & Experience
For Associate Professor:
- Colleges of Agriculture, Community Science, Basic Sciences & Humanities, Fisheries & specific posts: A recognized basic veterinary qualification is not required for these posts. A minimum of eight years of experience in teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to Assistant Professor is needed. This should include a minimum of seven publications in peer-reviewed or NAAS or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of seventy-five (75) as per the criteria in Annexure- II, Table- 2.
- College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences: A recognized basic veterinary qualification included in the schedules I/II of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984, and registration with a State Veterinary Council/Veterinary Council of India. A minimum of eight years of experience in teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to Assistant Professor is required. This should include a minimum of seven publications in peer-reviewed NAAS rated or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of seventy-five (75) as per the criteria in Annexure- II, Table- 2.
- General requirement for some posts: Minimum of 8 years of experience in teaching/research/industry, out of which at least 2 years must be Post Ph.D.

Salary / Pay Scale
- Associate Professor: Academic Level 13A with a rationalized entry pay of Rs. 1,31,400/-
- Assistant Professor: Academic Level 10 with a rationalized entry pay of Rs. 57,700/-
Retirement benefits will be provided as per State Government orders adapted by the university.
Selection Process
The selection process involves shortlisting of candidates based on academic and research scores, followed by an interview. The methodology for calculating the Academic/Research Score for shortlisting is detailed in Annexure- II, Table- 2 of the notification.
