Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following educational and age requirements to be eligible for the Executive Trainee posts.
Educational QualificationCandidates must possess a full-time regular Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) / Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) / Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. Engg.) / Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) from a recognized university or institute. The minimum marks required is 65% or equivalent CGPA in aggregate.
- Executive Trainee (Electrical): B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.)/ IDD in Electrical/ Electrical (Power)/ Electrical and Electronics/ Power Systems Engineering/ Power Engineering (Electrical).
- Executive Trainee (Computer Science): B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.)/ IDD in Computer Science/ Computer Engineering/ Information Technology.
Final year/semester students expecting their results by 14.08.2027 are also eligible if they have secured 65% marks or equivalent CGPA up to their pre-final examination.
Age LimitThe upper age limit is 28 years as on 31.07.2027. This means candidates should have been born on or after 01.08.1999.
Age RelaxationAge relaxation will be provided as per Government of India directives:
- OBC-NCL candidates: 3 years
- SC/ST candidates: 5 years
- PwBD candidates: 10 years over and above category relaxation

GATE 2027 Qualification

Salary / Pay Scale
Selected candidates will be placed at E2 level in the pay scale of ₹ 60,000 - 1,80,000/- IDA during the one-year On-The-Job Training (OJT). Upon successful completion of training, they will be regularized at E2 level in the same pay scale with applicable allowances and benefits.
A security bond of INR 5,00,000/- for General/ OBC-NCL/EWS candidates and INR 2,50,000/- for SC/ST/PwBD candidates will be required.
Selection Process
The selection process involves the following stages:
- GATE 2027 Score: Marks obtained in the GATE 2027 exam (out of 100) will carry a weightage of 85%.
- Group Discussion (GD): This stage will have a weightage of 3% and does not have qualifying marks.
- Personal Interview (PI): This stage will have a weightage of 12%. Candidates must qualify in the Personal Interview to be considered for final shortlisting.
The qualifying percentages in the Personal Interview are:
- Unreserved & EWS: 40%
