Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following educational and age requirements to be eligible for this position.
Educational Qualification
Essential Qualification: Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Plant Pathology, or any relevant discipline of life sciences.
Desirable Qualification: Experience in basic molecular techniques such as nucleic acid isolation, PCR, plasmid isolation, restriction, ligation, molecular cloning, and recombinant vector development, dsRNA. Experience in Bioinformatics (Transcriptomics and Proteomics) and scientific writing, as evidenced by publications, is also desirable.
Age Limit
The maximum age limit for YP-II is 45 years as on the date of the interview.
Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Women and other exempted categories as per Government of India guidelines.
Salary / Pay Scale
Selected candidates will receive a consolidated salary of Rs. 42,000/- per month.
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected based on their performance in a walk-in interview.
Only candidates who meet the essential qualifications will be interviewed.

Important Instructions
- The posts are purely temporary and filled on a contractual basis. The contract may be extended periodically based on performance until the project terminates.
- Candidates will not have any claim for regular appointment as the post is coterminous with the project.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or for joining if selected.
- Concealing facts or canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
- In case of any disputes, the jurisdiction will be the New Delhi court only.
- The final interview results will be hosted on the institute's website 10 days after the interview. No phone calls will be entertained before that.
- Candidates having near or distant relatives working at ICAR/IARI must declare it by post on or before the interview date. If declared on the interview date, the candidate will not be interviewed. Candidates with no relatives working at ICAR/IARI must furnish a declaration.
