Scientist-D (Medical)- Essential Qualification: MBBS or equivalent degree recognized by MCI/NMC.
- Essential Experience: 08 years.
- Desirable Qualification: MD/MS or equivalent degree recognized by MCI/NMC OR MPH from a recognized university OR PhD from a recognized university in a subject related to Biomedical sciences.
- Desirable Experience: Experience in Research & Development related to Epidemiology/Public Health demonstrated through peer-reviewed publications, scientific presentations, technical reports, research grants etc. in Govt./public sector/private institutions.
- Essential Qualification: Masters from a recognised University, in a subject related to Biomedical Sciences OR Pharm-D degree recognised by UGC/PCI.
- Essential Experience: 08 years.
- Desirable Qualification: PhD from a recognized university in a subject related to Biomedical Sciences.
- Desirable Experience: Experience in Research & Development related to Epidemiology/Public Health demonstrated through peer-reviewed publications, scientific presentations, technical reports, research grants etc. in Govt./public sector/private institutions.

Note on Experience: PhD will be considered as 4 years' experience. MD/MS or equivalent will be considered as 3 years' experience. MPH/M. Tech will not be considered as any experience. The period spent on obtaining minimum essential educational qualification shall not count towards experience.
Educational Qualification

Salary / Pay Scale
The selected candidates will be paid as per the following pay levels:

The pay scale for these levels is as per the 7th Central Pay Commission. For Level-10, the pay scale is Rs. 56,100 - 1,77,500.
Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be based on a computer-based test (MCQs), an interview, or both. The computer-based test will be of a qualifying nature, focusing on the understanding of research methods, with a minimum qualifying score of 75 percentile.
Shortlisting Criteria: Initially, all candidates meeting the minimum eligibility criteria (age, educational qualifications, experience) will be shortlisted. If the number of shortlisted candidates is high, further shortlisting may be done based on higher experience or educational qualifications, as decided by the Competent Authority.
Exam Details
The computer-based test, if conducted, will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) designed to assess the understanding of research methods. This test will be qualifying in nature, requiring candidates to achieve a minimum of 75 percentile to pass.
