Both positions are based at the ICMR TB Research Accelerator, Division of Communicable Diseases, ICMR Headquarters, New Delhi.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the specific educational qualifications and experience requirements for each post.

• Educational Qualification: Graduate degree in Life Sciences or an allied basic-science discipline relevant to biomedical research from a recognized university or institution. Eligible disciplines include Biology, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Genetics, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Physiology, Pharmacology, Biotechnology, Immunology, Toxicology, Virology, Nutrition, Entomology, or other relevant life-science disciplines.
• Age Limit: Maximum 30 years as on the last date for receipt of applications. Age relaxation will be as per rules.
• Desirable: Postgraduate qualification in a relevant life-science or biomedical discipline; at least one year of relevant experience in biomedical, laboratory, public-health, clinical, or health-research work; experience in literature searching, scientific evidence synthesis, data extraction, research documentation, and report preparation; working knowledge of Microsoft Office, scientific databases, and reference-management software. Experience in tuberculosis or infectious-disease research is an advantage.

• Educational Qualification & Experience: Postgraduate degree with at least 55% marks in Computer Applications, Information Technology, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Operating Systems, Software Engineering, or Computer Graphics from a recognized university or institution. A minimum of three years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field is required. This experience must include hands-on development, deployment, administration, and maintenance of interactive dashboards or management information systems. The candidate must be able to manage structured research data and use statistical software or programming tools for data cleaning, analysis, visualization, and reporting.
• Age Limit: Maximum 35 years as on the last date for receipt of applications. Age relaxation will be as per rules.
• Desirable: Proficiency in dashboard platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau); strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases; proficiency in R or Python and statistical packages; experience in data integration, automated reporting, and version control; experience with electronic data-capture systems; knowledge of data security and cloud infrastructure. Prior experience with TB, infectious-disease, or biomedical research data is an advantage.

Note: Experience will be counted only after completing the minimum essential qualification.

Salary / Pay Scale

The consolidated emoluments for the positions are:

• Young Professional-I (Basic Sciences): Rs. 35,000/- per month
• Young Professional-II (Information Technology): Rs. 42,000/- per month

No House Rent Allowance (HRA) will be paid. Applicable taxes will be deducted at source.

Selection Process

Applications will be screened based on the prescribed eligibility criteria. ICMR may apply shortlisting criteria if a large number of applications are received. A written test, skill test, or assignment may be conducted if necessary. Shortlisted candidates will be informed via email for an interview and document verification.
