Vacancy Details
IISER Pune is hiring for the post of Counsellor. The vacancies are:
- Full-Time: 02 posts
- Part-Time: 02 posts

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following educational qualifications and experience:
- A Master's Degree in 'Clinical Psychology' with at least 55% marks.
- OR
- A Master's Degree with 55% in 'Clinical Psychology' and 5 years of experience in counselling students regarding academic, psychosocial, and emotional issues in a reputed academic institute or organization.
Note: The mark sheet and degree certificate must mention the specialization as ‘Clinical Psychology'. If not, a letter from the university confirming the specialization is required.
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Additional educational qualification in Mental Health or Counselling.
- Excellent communication and multi-linguistic skills.
Age Limit
The age of the applicant should not be more than 40 years as on the date of the walk-in interview.
Age relaxation may be considered for candidates with higher qualifications and experience, with prior approval from the competent authority.
Salary / Pay Scale
Consolidated emoluments for the Counsellor post are:
- Full-Time: Starting Rs. 88,650/- per month. Higher emoluments may be offered to deserving candidates based on relevant work experience.
- Part-Time: Proportionate to the time commitment and job responsibilities.
Selection Process
Selection will be based on a walk-in interview. Candidates are advised to bring all original documents and a set of photocopies for verification. If a large number of candidates attend, the screening committee may limit the number of candidates to be interviewed based on qualifications and experience.
