IIT Delhi is recruiting for the post of Principal Project Scientist. The notification specifies two types of Principal Project Scientist roles:

Educational Qualification & Experience For Principal Project Scientist (a):- Essential: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent in English, Linguistics, Journalism, Mass Communication, or a closely related discipline.
- OR Essential: Master's degree with first class or equivalent in English, Linguistics, Journalism, Mass Communication, or a closely related discipline with 6 years of experience.
- Desirable Experience: Experience in oral communication training, English language training, communication coaching, or related areas. Experience in designing and delivering workshops or training programmes on public speaking, presentation skills, and professional communication. Excellent spoken and written English, with strong presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Essential: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent in Design, Graphic Design, Communication, Data Science, or a closely related discipline.
- OR Essential: Master's degree with first class or equivalent in Design, Graphic Design, Communication, Data Science, or a closely related discipline with 6 years of experience.
- Desirable Experience: Experience in scientific visualization, graphic design, multimedia content development, science communication, or related areas. Proficiency in Python (Matplotlib), Inkscape, and other open-source tools for scientific plotting, vector graphics, illustration, and video creation/editing. Familiarity with software such as GIMP, Blender, Scribus, or equivalent tools will be an added advantage. Experience in designing and delivering workshops or training programmes on scientific visualization, data visualization, graphical abstracts, or multimedia communication.
The age of the candidate should not exceed 45 years.
Note: 5% relaxation of marks may be granted to SC/ST candidates.
Salary / Pay Scale
The appointment is on a contractual basis with a consolidated pay. The pay scale is as follows:
- Rs. 75,600 - 77,870 - 80,210 - 82,620 - 85,100 - 87,650 - 90,280 - 92,900 - 95,780 - 98,650 - 1,01,610/- per month (Consolidated)
If a retired government employee is selected, their salary will be fixed as per prevailing IRD norms.
