Vacancy Details

A single vacancy is available for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the specified research project.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following educational qualifications and criteria:

Option A:

• M.E./M.Tech./MS(R)/BS-MS or equivalent degree in CSE / IT / Maths and Computing / or relevant discipline with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.
• Students awaiting their final results can also apply.

Option B:

• B.E. /B.Tech. /M.Sc./ MCA in CSE / Maths/CS/ Maths and Computing /or relevant discipline with at least 80% marks or equivalent CGPA.
• A valid GATE qualification is mandatory for B.Tech candidates.
• Students awaiting their final results can also apply.

Note: If the M.E./M.Tech degree is obtained using GATE, a valid GATE score is not required. However, if the M.E./M.Tech degree is not obtained using GATE, then a valid GATE score is mandatory. Candidates with a B.Tech degree must have a valid GATE score.

Desirable Qualification: Candidates with prior research experience in areas aligned with the project will be preferred.

Age Limit

The upper age limit for applicants is 28 years.

Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules: up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Women and Physically Handicapped candidates.

Salary / Pay Scale

The consolidated salary per month will be:

• Years 1-2: Rs. 37,000/- + 18% HRA (as applicable)
• Year 3: Rs. 42,000/- + 18% HRA (as applicable)

Selection Process

IIT Jammu will conduct an appropriate written examination and/or interview for eligible candidates. Candidates may be shortlisted based on their merit and the project's requirements before being called for the selection process.
