Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the essential qualifications for the respective posts.
Essential Qualification for Junior Research Fellow (JRF):- M.Tech./M.E. in Mechanical/Chemical/Computer Science & Engineering AND B.Tech./B.E. in Mechanical/Chemical/Computer Science & Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks (or 6.5/10.0 CGPA).
- OR B.Tech./B.E. degree in Mechanical/Chemical/Computer Science & Engineering and related streams, with a minimum of 60% marks (or 6.5/10.0 CGPA) throughout, starting from Class XII.
- Candidates with a valid GATE/NET score or other prescribed national-level qualifying examination, or those admitted to M.Tech./M.E. through GATE qualification, are eligible for remuneration as per S. No. 3, Clause (i) of ANRF Office Memorandum No. ANRF/OM/N-01/2024 dated 14.10.2024.
- Eligible candidates without GATE/NET qualification or other prescribed national-level qualifying examinations, including M.Tech./M.E. degree holders who have never qualified GATE, will be considered under S. No. 3, Clause (ii) of the said Office Memorandum, with remuneration as per applicable rates based on experience.
- Ph.D. in Mechanical/Chemical/Computer Science & Engineering with B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical/Chemical/Computer Science & Engineering from a recognized University/Institute.
- OR M.Tech/M.E. degree in Mechanical/Chemical/Computer Science & Engineering with three years of research, teaching, and design and development experience, with at least one research paper in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
- Sound knowledge of programming languages like C/C++, Python, FORTRAN.
- Experience in working on CFD software (e.g., Ansys).
- Sound knowledge of physics-informed AI/ML.
Age Limit
The upper age limit for applicants is 50 years. A relaxation of 5 years is provided for SC/ST/women/physically challenged candidates, and 3 years for OBC NCL candidates.
Salary / Pay Scale
The consolidated monthly salary will be as follows:
- For Junior Research Fellow (JRF): INR 37,000/- plus 20% HRA for the 1st and 2nd year; INR 42,000/- plus 20% HRA for the 3rd year. (Note: Remuneration may be INR 30,000/- plus HRA @ 20% for candidates without GATE/NET qualification, as per the specified office memorandum).
- For Research Associate-III (RA-III): INR 67,000/- plus 20% HRA.
