• Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR
• Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following:
  • Scholars selected through National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
  • Selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER etc.

• ME/M.Tech/MS or equivalent degree in Metallurgical, Mechanical, Materials Engineering (GATE qualification is not mandatory).
• OR BE/B.Tech/BS or equivalent 4-year degree in Metallurgical, Mechanical, Materials Engineering with GATE score.
• Degree from IITs, CFTIs, Institutes whose current overall NIRF ≤ 25, with at least 8.0 CGPA.
• A minimum of 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale in the qualifying exam.
