Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following educational and age requirements:

• Trade Apprentice - Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) / Trade Apprentice (Boiler): B.Sc degree in Maths, Physics, Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry.
• Technician Apprentice: Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering / Instrumentation & Electronics / Instrumentation & Control Engineering / Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering.

The qualification must be from a recognized University/Institute as a regular full-time course. Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST and PwBD candidates for reserved seats).

Candidates awaiting their qualifying examination results are not eligible. Qualifications acquired through part-time, correspondence, or distance education are not accepted. Candidates with higher professional qualifications like BE/B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB, MCA are not eligible.

The minimum age is 18 years, and the maximum age is 24 years as of 30.09.2026 for General/EWS candidates.

Age relaxations are applicable for reserved categories:

• SC/ST candidates: Up to 5 years
• OBC (NCL) candidates: Up to 3 years
• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates: Up to 10 years
• PwBD candidates belonging to SC/ST: Up to 5 years relaxation in addition to the general relaxation for SC/ST.
• PwBD candidates belonging to OBC (NCL): Up to 3 years relaxation in addition to the general relaxation for OBC (NCL).

Candidates who have completed five years after acquiring the prescribed qualification as of the reckoning date are not eligible. Candidates with one year or more of job experience after obtaining their qualification are also not eligible.
