The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry, has released a recruitment notification for project-based positions. These roles are on a contract basis for a research project funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).

Eligibility Criteria for Project Posts

Candidates must meet the specified educational qualifications and experience to be eligible for these project posts.

• Essential Qualification: Masters in social work or psychology or public health or M.Phil in Clinical Psychology/Psychiatric Social Work.
• Language Proficiency: Good command of Tamil and English (reading, speaking & writing), preferably typing.
• Desirable Experience: Experience in Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) and multicentre study coordination, experience in statistical software (SPSS/R/Stata or equivalent), proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and experience with REDCap software and data management.

• Essential Qualification: Three-year graduate degree in social work or psychology or public Health or nursing + three Years post-qualification experience OR Masters in social work or psychology or public health or nursing or M.Phil in Clinical Psychology/Psychiatric Social Work.
• Language Proficiency: Good command of Tamil and English (reading, speaking & writing), preferably typing.
• Desirable Experience: Experience in Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) and multicentre study coordination, experience in statistical software (SPSS/R/Stata or equivalent), proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and experience with REDCap software and data management.

• Essential Qualification: Three-year graduate degree in social work or psychology or public Health + three Years post-qualification experience OR Masters in social work or psychology or public health or M.Phil in Clinical Psychology/Psychiatric Social Work.
• Experience: Experience in data management and data entry, preferably involving clinical/research data. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic data handling.
• Language Proficiency: Good command of English, including reading, writing and communication.
• Other Requirements: Willingness and ability to travel periodically to all participating study centres for data quality assurance, CRF/source-document audits and log auditing.
• Desirable Experience: Prior experience in Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs), particularly multicentre clinical trials. Experience with REDCap database management, including data validation checks and data quality monitoring. Experience in CRF and source-document verification, discrepancy resolution and data query management. Experience in maintaining data security, confidentiality and secure storage of research records. Experience in preparing data quality, recruitment or other periodic study reports/summaries. Familiarity with statistical software such as SPSS, R, Stata or equivalent.

Qualifications and experience should be in the relevant discipline/field and from a reputed institution/organization. The experience should have been gained after acquiring the essential qualification.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for all the posts is 35 years as on the last date of receipt of applications.

Salary / Pay Scale

The consolidated remuneration for the posts is as follows:

• Project Research Scientist - I (Non - Medical): ₹67,200/- per month (₹56,000/- + 20% HRA ₹11,200/-)
• Project Technical Support-III (Research Assistant): ₹33,600/- per month (₹28,000/- + 20% HRA)
• Project Technical Support-III (Data Manager): ₹33,600/- per month (₹28,000/- + 20% HRA)

No other allowance or facilities other than the consolidated salary will be provided.

Selection Process

The selection process will involve a written screening test and an interview. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for these stages.

• Written Screening Test: This will be a single response MCQ type test. The tentative areas covered include participant screening, informed consent process, safety and efficacy assessments, drug administration protocols, patient scheduling, data entry, and study log maintenance.
• Interview: Candidates shortlisted after the screening test will be called for an interview.

The decision of the Project Investigator will be final. If a large number of applications are received, JIPMER may use more stringent criteria than specified to determine eligibility.
