Merit-based Selection

Sangini (Anganwadi Worker): Selection shall be purely on merit basis using marks obtained in 10+2; no other criteria shall be considered.
Sahayika (Anganwadi Helper): The committee shall select the most destitute/needy married women of the ward who fulfil the qualification criteria; unmarried candidates may be considered only if no married candidate is available.
Candidates belonging to the family of a retiring AWW/AWH qualify for an additional two percent weightage in merit.
