Jharkhand Child Protection Society Recruitment 2026 Announced

The Jharkhand State Child Protection Society (JSCPS) has released a notification for recruitment to vacant positions in Juvenile Justice Boards (JJBs) and Child Welfare Committees (CWCs) across Jharkhand. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the posts of Social Worker Members in JJBs and Chairpersons/Members in CWCs.

Vacancy Details

The recruitment is for the following positions:

• Juvenile Justice Boards (JJBs): 04 vacancies for Social Worker Members.
• Child Welfare Committees (CWCs): 07 vacancies for Chairpersons and Members.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the basic eligibility requirements as per Jharkhand JJ Rules 2017.

• Age: Not less than 35 years and not more than 60 years at the time of appointment.
• Qualification & Experience: A degree with at least seven years of experience working with children in education, health, protection, or welfare activities. Alternatively, a practicing professional with a degree in child psychology, psychiatry, sociology, or law.
• Other Conditions: No past record of human rights or child rights violation, no conviction for an offence involving moral turpitude, not removed or dismissed from government service, and no involvement in child abuse or child labour. Must not hold a full-time occupation that prevents dedicating necessary time to JJB work.

• Age: Above 35 years and not more than 60 years.
• Qualification & Experience: A minimum of seven years of experience working with children in education, health, protection, or welfare activities with a degree. OR a practicing professional with a degree in child psychology, psychiatry, social work, sociology, human development, or law. OR a retired judicial officer.
• Other Conditions: Similar to JJB eligibility regarding human rights/child rights violation, moral turpitude, government service dismissal, child abuse, child labour, and full-time occupation constraints.

There are two categories for educational qualifications and work experience as detailed in Annexures I.A and I.B of the application form.

Salary / Sitting Allowance

The engagement for these posts is honorary. Candidates will receive a sitting allowance of Rs. 2000 per sitting.

Selection Process

The selection process involves two stages:

1. Stage 1: Screening of Application Forms - Applications will be screened to check if candidates meet the basic eligibility requirements. Incomplete or ineligible applications will be rejected.
2. Stage 2: Evaluation by Selection Committee - Shortlisted candidates will be evaluated based on:
   • Personal Interaction (50% weightage): Assesses aptitude, attitude, domain knowledge, and understanding of child rights and protection issues.
   • Educational Qualifications (25% weightage): Scored based on marks obtained in the qualifying educational qualification.
   • Work Experience (25% weightage): Scored based on the length of relevant experience in working with children or professional practice.

A panel of selected candidates will be prepared based on merit and will be valid for one year.

The application form requires details as per Annexure-I.A or I.B, a Personal Data Form (Annexure-II), and an undertaking (Annexure-III) on a separate non-judicial stamp paper.
