Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following qualifications to be eligible for the Assistant Professor posts:

• A Master's degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in a concerned, relevant, or allied subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
• Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or CSIR, or a similar test accredited by UGC like SET.
• Alternatively, candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC Regulations (2009 or 2016) are also eligible and may be exempted from NET/SET.
• For specific disciplines like Computer Science, Engineering, and Technology, qualifications as per AICTE rules will apply.
• Knowledge of Marathi language is desirable for all posts.

Retired persons who have not attained the age of 65 years may also apply.

Salary / Pay Scale

The salary for the Assistant Professor (Contract) posts will be consolidated as follows:

• With Five or more years of teaching experience: Rs. 40,000/- per month
• With less than Five years of teaching experience or fresh appointment: Rs. 35,000/- per month

Selection Process

The selection process will be based on the criteria for short-listing candidates for the interview as per the Maharashtra Government Resolution dated 08th March, 2019. Mere possession of minimum qualifications does not guarantee an interview or selection.
