Vacancy Details
The Kerala High Court is looking to fill 17 vacancies for the post of Office Attendant. These vacancies are anticipated and may include those arising during the validity period of the ranked list.
As per G.O. (P) No. 5/2023/SJD dated 01.10.2023, 4% of vacancies are reserved for eligible differently-abled candidates.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Office Attendant post, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Educational QualificationCandidates must have passed S.S.L.C. or an equivalent examination. Importantly, candidates should not have acquired a graduation degree.
All required qualifications must be obtained on or before the last date for online application submission.
Age LimitThe age limit for applicants is as follows:
- General Candidates: Born between 02 January 1986 and 01 January 2008 (both days inclusive).
- Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes: Born between 02 January 1981 and 01 January 2008 (both days inclusive).
- Other Backward Classes: Born between 02 January 1983 and 01 January 2008 (both days inclusive).
Age Relaxation:
- Up to 15 years for candidates with Blindness & Low Vision, Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
- Up to 10 years for other categories of benchmark disabilities.
- Up to 5 years for widows.
In all cases of age relaxation, the upper age limit should not exceed 50 years.
Ex-servicemen and other eligible categories can also avail age relaxation as per rules.
Application Fee
The application fee for the Office Attendant post is ₹500/- (Rupees Five hundred only).
Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes and unemployed differently-abled candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.
Bank transaction charges, if any, for payment of the fee will be borne by the candidate.
Salary / Pay Scale
Selected candidates will receive a salary in the scale of ₹23,000 to ₹50,200 per month.
Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be based on a Written Test and an Interview.
Written Test Details:- Type: Objective Type
- Duration: 75 minutes
- Total Marks: 100 marks
- Sections: General Knowledge & Current Affairs (50 marks), Numerical Ability (20 marks), Mental Ability (15 marks), General English (15 marks).
- Marking Scheme: 1 mark for each correct answer, 1/4 mark deducted for each incorrect answer.
- Medium: Bilingual (English & Malayalam).
- Marks: 10 marks.
- Minimum qualifying marks: 35% in the interview to be included in the ranked list.
The number of candidates called for the interview will be decided by the High Court.
