Educational Qualification

Applicants must hold a BE/B.Tech/B.Sc. Engineering degree in the relevant discipline and possess a valid GATE-2026 score. Only GATE-2026 scores will be considered; previous GATE scores are not accepted.

Salary / Pay Scale

Selected candidates will be appointed as Assistant Engineers in the 'E2' Grade. The pay scale for this grade is attractive and includes various benefits.

  • Pay Scale: ₹50,000 – ₹1,60,000
  • Starting Basic Pay: ₹50,000/-

In addition to the basic pay, employees receive Dearness Allowance (IDA pattern), HRA or Township accommodation, Perks & Allowances under a cafeteria approach, Performance Related Pay, and other benefits as per Company Rules. Candidates will undergo training-cum-probation as per company policy.

Service Bond

Selected candidates are required to sign a service bond to serve MRPL for a minimum period of 3 years from the date of joining (including training-cum-probation). The bond amounts are:

  • General Category: ₹3,00,000/-
  • EWS / OBC(NCL) / SC / ST / PwBD Categories: ₹50,000/-

Selection Process

The selection process for MRPL Assistant Engineer posts involves multiple stages:

  1. Initial Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted purely based on their valid GATE-2026 marks (out of 100). Marks from any previous or other GATE examinations will not be considered.
  2. Group Discussion (GD) & Personal Interview (PI): Shortlisted candidates will be called for GD and PI. The ratio for calling candidates will be 1:5 (1 post for 5 candidates), applied category-wise.
  3. Tie-breaking Rule: In case of a tie in GATE marks, the candidate with higher marks in their essential qualifying degree will be ranked higher.
  4. Document Verification: This will be conducted at the time of the Personal Interview.

MRPL reserves the right to modify or add any test to the selection process. A panel of suitable candidates may be created and kept valid for one year.
