Candidates must have one of the following qualifications from a recognized university:

• 1st class Master's degree in Microbiology.
• OR
• 2nd class M.Sc. + Ph.D degree in Microbiology.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Doctorate Degree in Microbiology.
• Additional Post doctoral research from a recognized institute(s) / university.
• Two years' experience in the relevant subject after obtaining the essential qualification.
• Candidates with a Ph.D degree will be treated as having 3 years' experience.
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Virology and Molecular Biology.
• Preference will also be given to candidates with publications in peer-reviewed indexed journals.

• The maximum age limit for applicants is 40 years.
• Age relaxation for ST/SC/OBC candidates will be applicable as per Government rules.

Salary / Pay Scale

Selected candidates for the Scientist-B (Non-Medical) post will receive a monthly remuneration of Rs. 56,000/- + HRA (House Rent Allowance).
