Common Mistakes to Avoid

Applying for a senior position like CISO requires precision. Avoiding common mistakes can significantly improve your application's success. Here are some pitfalls to steer clear of:

• Not Meeting Age Criteria: Failing to check if your age falls within the minimum (45 years) and maximum (55 years) limits as of the cut-off date (1st July 2026). Remember, there is no age relaxation mentioned.
• Lacking Mandatory Certifications: Applying without possessing at least one of the essential professional certifications (CISSP, CISM, CCISO, CISA). These are non-negotiable requirements.
• Insufficient or Irrelevant Work Experience: Not having the stipulated 15 years of total technology experience, or more critically, not having the mandatory 10 years in network/cybersecurity leadership roles, especially in SOC transformation and BFSI/PSU digital security. Generic experience will not suffice.
• Failing to Attach All Testimonials: Sending your CV without attaching scanned copies of all supporting educational and experience certificates, and professional certification proofs. An incomplete application will be rejected.
• Missing the Application Deadline: Submitting your email application after 31st July 2026. Late applications are strictly not entertained.
