Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification:
  • Must possess an MBBS degree from a university recognized under the National Medical Commission Act, 2019.
  • Must hold valid registration with the National Medical Commission or a State Medical Council, which should remain valid throughout the engagement period.
  • An MD (General Medicine) qualification will be preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience after MBBS in any hospital is required.
• Age Limit: Candidates should not be above 65 years of age as on the closing date of the advertisement (23 September 2026).
• Preference: Retired government, armed forces, or private doctors are encouraged to apply.

Salary and Remuneration

The selected candidate will receive a fixed monthly consultation fee. The exact amount will depend on the candidate's experience.

• Salary: Between ₹50,000 to ₹60,000 per month (depending on experience).
• Payment: A consolidated monthly consultation fee will be paid, subject to deduction of applicable taxes at source (TDS).

Working Hours and Duties

The Part-Time Medical Consultant will be required to attend the Institute for specific hours and perform certain duties:

• Consultation Hours: 2 hours daily, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, on all working days and Saturdays, excluding government holidays.
• Location of Consultation: NII doctor's clinic in the Gymnasium block.
• Other Duties: May include rendering telephonic advice in emergencies, attending to urgent medical needs within the campus, and providing medical/technical advice on medical certificates for leave requests.
• Reporting: Maintain a daily log of patients attended and submit a consolidated monthly report.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on an interview:

• Candidates will be shortlisted based on their qualifications and experience. The Institute may set higher shortlisting criteria than the minimum eligibility standards.
• Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
• The decision of the Institute regarding shortlisting and final selection will be final. Merely meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee an interview call.
