Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following educational qualifications and age limits to be eligible for the Junior Research Fellow position.
Educational QualificationEssential Qualification(s):
- B.Tech/B.E in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 or 60% and a valid GATE score.
- M.E/M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or allied Branch with a minimum CGPA of 7.0 or 65% from a recognized Technical Institute/University with a valid GATE Score.
Note: A valid GATE Score is mandatory for the JRF position for Year 1 & 2.
Age LimitThe upper age limit for applying is 28 years.
- Relaxation of 5 years for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes / PWD and Female applicants.
- Relaxation of 3 years for OBCs (Non-creamy layer candidates).
The upper age limit will be calculated as on the last date of receipt of applications.
Salary / Pay Scale
Selected candidates will receive a monthly assistantship of Rs. 37,000.00 /- per month plus HRA (if applicable).
If a candidate does not have a valid GATE Score, they may be appointed as a Project Associate-I with a monthly salary of Rs. 30,000/- per month as per DST Rule.
Selection Process
Candidates will be shortlisted based on merit and the project's requirements. Only short-listed candidates will be informed for an Online Interview. The interview is scheduled for 21-Sep-2026 at 11:30 AM.
