Rail India Technical and Economic Service (RITES) Limited, a Government of India Enterprise, has announced recruitment for the post of Deputy General Manager (Civil - Marine Structural Expert).

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have a full-time bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering AND a post-graduation degree in Marine Structures, Coastal Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.

For consideration against unreserved posts, candidates from UR/EWS categories (and SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PWD applying for unreserved posts) need a first-class degree or a minimum of 60% marks in their minimum qualification.

Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD) need at least 50% marks in their minimum qualification for consideration against reserved posts.

The degree must be recognized by AICTE. Sections A & B examination of the Institution of Engineers (India) is also accepted if treated as equivalent to a Degree by the Government of India and recognized by AICTE.

A minimum of 11 years of post-qualification experience is required.

Out of this, at least 05 years of experience must be in the design and construction of marine structures like breakwater, revetment/shore protection works, dredging and reclamation, berths, jetties, and piling.

For candidates from Central/State Govt./PSU/Autonomous Organizations:

• Total experience of 11 years.
• At least 2 years of experience in the IDA pay scale of Rs. 60,000-1,80,000 or CDA pay scale in Level 11 of the 7th CPC pay matrix.

For candidates from State PSUs/Autonomous Organizations/PSBs/Public Sector Insurance Companies/Other Statutory Bodies etc. (not following IDA/CDA Pay Scale):

• Total experience of 11 years.
• At least 2 years of experience in an equivalent pay scale to IDA pay scale of Rs. 60,000-1,80,000 or CDA pay scale in Level 11 of the 7th CPC pay matrix.

For candidates from Private Sector or other Organizations:

• Total experience of 11 years.
• An annual CTC of at least 24.10 LPA on the last date for application submission.

Apprenticeship training in the relevant discipline will be considered for minimum post-qualification experience.

Training, internship, teaching, academic, fellowship, or PhD research experience will not be counted.

Age Limit

The age limit is not specified in the official notification for the UR category.

Age relaxation will be provided as per government rules:

• SC/ST Category: 5 years
• OBC-NCL Category: 3 years
• J&K Domicile: 5 years
• Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD): 10 years (in addition to relaxation for SC/ST/OBC-NCL if applicable)

RITES regular/contract employees fulfilling the eligibility criteria will get 5 years of age relaxation over and above the upper age limit.

Salary / Pay Scale

The pay scale for the post is INR 70,000 - 2,00,000.

The remuneration will be fixed at the minimum of the scale.

Selection Process

The selection process involves two stages:

1. Document Scrutiny: Applications will be scrutinized. Eligible candidates will be called for document verification. Candidates must upload all supporting documents. Any deficiencies will be notified on the website.
2. Interview: Candidates shortlisted after document scrutiny will appear for an interview.

The interview will have a weightage of 100%, with 65% for Technical & Professional proficiency and 35% for Personality, Communication & Competency.

A minimum of 60% marks in the interview is required for UR/EWS candidates. For SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PWD candidates applying against reserved posts, a minimum of 50% marks is required.

Candidates can choose to appear for the interview in Hindi or English.
