Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following essential qualifications as per UGC Regulations 2018 for Guest Teachers:

• A Master's Degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST & OBC (Non-Creamy layer)) from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign university.
• Candidates must have qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or CSIR, or SLET/SET conducted by UGC, or be exempted from NET/SLET/SET.

Exemption from NET/SLET/SET: Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil/Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016, or the subsequent amendments, are exempted from NET/SLET/SET. This exemption is subject to fulfilling specific conditions related to the Ph.D. award (regular mode, external examiner evaluation, open viva-voce, publications, and paper presentations).

Note: For disciplines where NET/SLET/SET is not conducted, a Ph.D. degree obtained from one of the top 500 ranked universities globally (as per QS, THE, or Shanghai rankings) will be considered.
