Vacancy Details

Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya is looking to fill one position for a Research Scholar. The number of posts may increase or decrease as per the university's decision.

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: Indian nationals are eligible to apply.

Age Limit: Candidates should be below 40 years of age as on January 1, 2026. Age relaxation of up to 5 years is provided for SC/ST candidates. Further age relaxation may be considered for candidates with relevant experience.

Educational Qualification

The essential qualification required for the Research Scholar position is a Master's degree in Seed Science, Plant Physiology, Plant Science, or related disciplines. Remuneration

The selected candidate will receive a consolidated fellowship of Rs. 20,000.00 per month for the duration of the project.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected based on their performance in a walk-in interview. The interview will be conducted by a selection committee. Preference will be given to candidates whose work experience is relevant to the project's mandate. The decision of the selection committee will be final.

• Two copies of their application along with a detailed bio-data.
• Two sets of photocopies of all their documents, mark sheets, and certificates, starting from the Madhyamik examination, duly attested by a Gazetted Officer or Head of the Institution.
• Two recent passport-size photographs.
• Original mark sheets and certificates, starting from the Madhyamik examination, and any other experience certificates.
• Proof of Date of Birth (e.g., CBSE/HSC/SSC/Matriculation certification).
• SC/ST/OBC certificate, if applicable.

Candidates should not have any type of conviction in any court in India.
