Vacancy Details

A total of 225 provisional vacancies have been announced for the Administrative Officer (Scale I) post. Candidates can apply for either the Generalists discipline or the Hindi Officers discipline, but not both. Multiple registrations will lead to cancellation.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

An applicant must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Candidates from the last four categories need an eligibility certificate from the Government of India.

The minimum educational qualification must have been obtained on or before 30.06.2026 from a university or institute recognised by UGC/AICTE, following a 10+2+3 pattern or equivalent.

• Generalists: Graduate or Postgraduate degree in any discipline (including Engineering, Arts, Science, Commerce, Agriculture, Data Science) with at least 60% marks. For SC/ST/PwBD category, the minimum marks required is 55%.
• Hindi Officers: Master’s Degree from a recognised university with Hindi and English as compulsory/elective subjects or as the medium of examination at the degree level. Minimum 60% marks are required (55% for SC/ST/PwBD category).

Working knowledge of computers is mandatory for all candidates.

As on 30.06.2026:

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 30 years

Candidates must have been born not earlier than 30.06.1996 and not later than 30.06.2005 (both dates inclusive).

Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government rules, up to a cumulative cap of 45 years.

Application Fee

The application fee and service charges are non-refundable.

Salary / Pay Scale

Selected candidates will receive a basic pay in the scale of ₹82,485-4050(14)-(4)-156745, along with other admissible allowances. The approximate gross pay at Metropolitan centres is ₹1,10,000 per month. Additional benefits include Gratuity, LTS, Medical Benefits, Group Personal Accident Insurance, and National Pension System (NPS). Leased accommodation may also be provided as per company rules.

Candidates must execute a guarantee bond to serve the company for a minimum of five years, including the probation period. Early resignation may attract liquidated damages and an onboarding cost of ₹35,000.

Selection Process

The selection process for UIIC AO Recruitment 2026 involves three stages:

1. Tier I: Preliminary Examination (Online Objective Test) - This is a qualifying test.
2. Tier II: Main Examination (Online Objective Test + Descriptive Test)
3. Interview
