- Additional Requirements: Beyond the basic degree, the UDC post emphasizes practical experience in official correspondence and a strong understanding of government office procedures. For LDC, the typing speed is a critical skill that will be assessed. Make sure you meet these specific additional criteria for the respective posts.
Always cross-check your qualifications and experience against the official notification's exact wording to ensure full compliance before applying.

Proof for Date of Birth will be based on your 10th / SSLC / Matriculation board certificate.
Age Relaxation:
- Government Servants: Central Government Civilian Employees are entitled to age relaxation. For UDC and LDC posts, this relaxation can be up to 5 years, provided they have at least three years of continuous service immediately preceding the closing date and are applying for a post in the same or allied cadre where their experience would be beneficial.
- Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD): Applicants belonging to the PwBD category will receive age relaxation as admissible to them, regardless of whether the post is reserved for PwBD or not.
It is important to note that since all advertised posts are Unreserved (UR), reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) applying against these posts will generally not be entitled to any age relaxation or relaxation in selection standards applicable to their respective categories. However, PwBD candidates are an exception to this rule for age relaxation. Always refer to the official notification for detailed rules on age relaxation and ensure you meet the criteria on the specified crucial date.

Selection Process
The selection process for the CCRS Recruitment 2026 is designed to identify the most suitable candidates for the advertised positions. It involves multiple stages, focusing on both academic qualifications and practical abilities. | Stage | Process |
| Stage 1: Shortlisting of Applications | Candidates will be shortlisted based on their requisite educational qualifications, experience, and other eligibility criteria as mentioned in the advertisement. |
| Stage 2: Written Test / Personal Interview | Shortlisted candidates will be called for a Written Test and/or Personal Interview. The call letter will be sent by Speed Post and to the E-mail ID provided in the application form. The date of the written test will also be published on the Council's website. |
| Stage 3: Final Selection | A final selection list will be prepared in order of merit based on the marks obtained in the Written Test, considering the number of vacancies available. |
Explanation of Each Stage:
- Shortlisting of Applications: This initial stage involves a thorough review of all submitted applications. The CCRS will assess whether candidates meet the essential educational qualifications, required experience (where applicable), and other conditions stipulated in the advertisement. Only those applications that fully comply with all eligibility criteria will be considered for the next stage. It is crucial to provide accurate and complete information and attach all necessary self-attested documents to avoid rejection at this stage.
- Written Test / Personal Interview: Candidates who are successfully shortlisted will receive a call letter for a Written Test and/or Personal Interview. The specific format (whether only written test, only interview, or both) will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates. The written test aims to assess knowledge and aptitude relevant to the post, while the interview evaluates communication skills, personality, and suitability for the role. Candidates should regularly check the CCRS website for updates regarding test dates and other instructions. No TA/DA will be paid for attending these stages.
- Final Selection: The final merit list will be primarily based on the marks secured in the Written Test. The number of candidates selected will correspond to the advertised vacancies. Performance in the interview (if conducted) may also play a role in the overall assessment. Candidates are advised that canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification from the selection process.
The entire process emphasizes merit and adherence to the laid-down rules. Candidates should prepare diligently for the written test and interview, and ensure all submitted information is accurate.
Salary
The Central Council for Research in Siddha (CCRS) offers attractive salary packages as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) Pay Matrix. Understanding the pay level and scale is important for applicants. | Post Name | Pay Level / Pay Matrix (7th CPC) | Scale of Pay |
| Social Worker | Level - 06 | Rs 35400 – 112400 |
| Upper Division Clerk (UDC) | Level - 04 | Rs. 25500 – 81100 |
| Lower Division Clerk (LDC) | Level - 02 | Rs.19900 – 63200 |

Similarly, an LDC at Pay Level 2 will have a starting basic pay of Rs. 19,900. These typically include Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), and other benefits, which significantly increase the total in-hand salary. The posts advertised carry All India Service Liability, meaning selected candidates may be posted anywhere in India based on the Council's requirements, and allowances will be applicable accordingly.
