Option A:Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 or 2022, and their amendments, are exempted from NET. This exemption is subject to fulfilling specific conditions for candidates registered for Ph.D. prior to July 11, 2009, including regular award of degree, evaluation by two external examiners, open viva voce, publication of research papers, and presentation of papers in conferences.

The engagement is purely temporary for one semester, with a possibility of extension for another semester based on satisfactory performance. The engagement will end if a regular faculty member joins or if performance is unsatisfactory. Candidates cannot claim any right for a permanent position.
