Vacancy Details

GRID-INDIA is filling 52 vacancies for Executive Trainees. The distribution of vacancies across different categories is as follows:

*PwBD vacancies are horizontally reserved. **The vacancy will be first filled by OH. In case no suitable candidate is available in OH subcategory, other identified suitable subcategories shall be considered.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following educational and age requirements to be eligible for the Executive Trainee posts.

Candidates must possess a full-time regular Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) / Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) / Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. Engg.) / Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) from a recognized university or institute. The minimum marks required is 65% or equivalent CGPA in aggregate.

• Executive Trainee (Electrical): B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.)/ IDD in Electrical/ Electrical (Power)/ Electrical and Electronics/ Power Systems Engineering/ Power Engineering (Electrical).
• Executive Trainee (Computer Science): B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.)/ IDD in Computer Science/ Computer Engineering/ Information Technology.

Final year/semester students expecting their results by 14.08.2027 are also eligible if they have secured 65% marks or equivalent CGPA up to their pre-final examination.

The upper age limit is 28 years as on 31.07.2027. This means candidates should have been born on or after 01.08.1999.

Age relaxation will be provided as per Government of India directives:

• OBC-NCL candidates: 3 years
• SC/ST candidates: 5 years
• PwBD candidates: 10 years over and above category relaxation
• Ex-Servicemen/ Victims of riots: As per Government of India directives

GATE 2027 Qualification

Candidates must have qualified in the GATE 2027 examination. The corresponding GATE papers are:

• Executive Trainee (Electrical): Electrical Engineering (EE) paper
• Executive Trainee (Computer Science): Computer Science and Information Technology (CS) paper

The qualifying marks in GATE 2027 will be as declared by the GATE 2027 Organizing Institute.

Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 500/-. The application process will be considered complete only after the submission of the application fee.

Exemptions: SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-SM/Departmental candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.

Salary / Pay Scale

Selected candidates will be placed at E2 level in the pay scale of ₹ 60,000 - 1,80,000/- IDA during the one-year On-The-Job Training (OJT). Upon successful completion of training, they will be regularized at E2 level in the same pay scale with applicable allowances and benefits.

A security bond of INR 5,00,000/- for General/ OBC-NCL/EWS candidates and INR 2,50,000/- for SC/ST/PwBD candidates will be required.

Selection Process

The selection process involves the following stages:

1. GATE 2027 Score: Marks obtained in the GATE 2027 exam (out of 100) will carry a weightage of 85%.
2. Group Discussion (GD): This stage will have a weightage of 3% and does not have qualifying marks.
3. Personal Interview (PI): This stage will have a weightage of 12%. Candidates must qualify in the Personal Interview to be considered for final shortlisting.

The qualifying percentages in the Personal Interview are:

• Unreserved & EWS: 40%
• OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwBD: 30%

Final selection will be based on the combined scores from GATE 2027, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview, and will be done category-wise based on merit.
