Vacancy Details

NIT Silchar is looking to fill one (01) temporary post of Project Assistant.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following educational and age requirements to be considered for the Project Assistant position.

A 3 years Diploma in Electronics Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institute/university is required.

B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics Engineering or equivalent with relevant experience in Electronics, Instrumentation, and Nanotechnology is desirable.

The age limit for the Project Assistant post is 35 years as on 09.10.2026.

Relaxation in age and qualification will be provided to SC/ST/OBC/WOMEN/PWD candidates as per Government of India Rules.

Salary and Allowances

The selected candidate will receive a monthly salary of Rs 15,000/-.

Candidates may also be eligible for House Rent Allowance (HRA) as per Project/Institute norms if accommodation is not provided by the Institute.

Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates will be informed via email about the interview process, including the date, time, and venue. The Institute reserves the right to limit the number of candidates called for the interview based on screening. Recruitment may not happen if suitable candidates are not found.
