The Uttar Pradesh Shiksha Sewa Chayan Ayog (UPESSC), Prayagraj, has announced the Special Teacher Eligibility Test (Special TET), 2026, under Advertisement No. 03/2026. This recruitment is for teachers currently serving at the Primary and Upper Primary levels in Uttar Pradesh, and also for approximately 2,500 Special Teachers/Assistant Teachers (CWSN).
The Supreme Court has made the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) mandatory for all teachers. Serving teachers must clear this test by 31 August 2028. To comply with this order, UPESSC is conducting this Special TET.

Note on Scoring: If the exam is held in multiple shifts, a normalization process will be applied to evaluate scores.
Syllabus:
Exam centres will be set up at district headquarters. Candidates may be allotted any centre. Information about the exam centre's district will be provided 10 days before the exam, and specific centre details 3 days before the exam, via a link on the UPESSC website for admit card download.
Important Note: Appearing at a centre or for a subject other than what is on the admit card will lead to cancellation of candidature.
